LEARN TO FLY

We have an Adventure waiting for you.

If you have ever dreamed of flying like a bird, you will love the amazing sensations that await you in the sky. There are different ways to experience the thrill of flight, depending on your preferences and the weather conditions. The sky is always changing, and so is every flight. You might encounter wind, calm, clouds, sun, or fog, and each one will give you a different perspective and feeling.

We can help you choose the best option for you, based on what kind of emotions you want to feel. But words are not enough to describe the joy of flying. You have to try it for yourself!

Do you want to glide gently and quietly in the air? Paragliding is for you

Do you want to fly low or high, with a light and easy-to-use engine? Paramotor is your choice.

Do you want to speed up with a powerful and reliable engine, and enjoy a comfortable seat and a stunning view? Hang gliding Trike is what you need

We have all these options ready for you.

PARAMOTOR

Paramotoring is an amazing way to explore the sky with a tiny aircraft that can fit in your car, take off from a small field and land anywhere. You can fly at the same speed as a paraglider, around 25 mph, or even faster with some wings. You can enjoy the thrill of low-level flying or soar high and far with the power of the engine and the sun.

Paramotor training in Alberta is a regulated activity in Canada, so you need a pilot permit, a registered paramotor, liability insurance and a medical certificate to fly safely and legally.

Fly Products is a renowned paramotor manufacturer from Italy with decades of experience in building and designing high-quality equipment. We are proud to represent them in Canada and offer a complete line of paramotors for different weights and power needs, as well as trike paramotors and accessories.

We have some exciting news to share with you: we are now the official dealer of Ozone wings in Alberta! Ozone is a world-class brand that has been making, innovating and supporting high-quality wings for over 25 years. You can find out more about their amazing products and vision in the "Why Ozone" brochure here.

To become a successful pilot, you need both knowledge and practice. Our Paramotor training is structured to help you develop your skills and confidence gradually.

You will begin with the basic theory and practice the fundamentals of takeoff without the engine.

Then, you will experience flying in the air, using an electric powered winch to simulate the takeoff. The winch will create a similar sensation to the engine's thrust.

This way, you can master takeoff and landings before adding power to your flights.

You will also learn how to handle the engine safely on the ground before going for a high flight.

To become a certified pilot, you must meet the following requirements:

  • 30 solo flights
  • 5 hours of supervised flight time with an instructor
  • Passing the PSTAR and ULTRA Transport Canada exams
  • Medical class 4 (download here)
  • 20 hours of ground school
  • A recommendation letter from your instructor

The course price covers several components, including:

  • Online Ground School
  • PSTAR Exam
  • Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A) Exam
  • Recommendation Letter

*All of these are included in the total cost of the course*

ULTRALIGHT

TRIKE

If you love flying and adventure, you should try our ultralight trike training. A trike is a fun and easy way to fly, with a hang-glider wing and a powered tricycle. You can take off almost from anywhere and cruise at 90 km/h for up to 3.5 hours. Imagine the places you can go and the sights you can see with this amazing aircraft.

Some people have even flown around the world with it! Our instructors are Transport Canada certified and will teach you everything you need to know to fly safely and confidently.

This aircraft is amazing! It can carry a lot of weight even though it's very light. You can fit two people in it and still have more payload than a Cessna 152 with the same fuel capacity. And the best part is, you can fold it up in 20 minutes and store it anywhere. It's like having your own portable plane that you can take with you wherever you go!

Discover the power of Trikes

Have you ever dreamed of flying? Now you can make it a reality with our introductory flying lesson. You will be guided by a qualified and friendly instructor who will show you the basics of flying an aircraft. You don't need any prior experience or skills, just a passion for adventure and discovery.

You can choose how long you want to fly, from 15 to 60 minutes, and how much you want to participate in the flight. You will have a briefing before the flight to learn about the physics and weather of flying, and then you will have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the plane yourself.

Imagine soaring over the Saskatchewan River, admiring the scenic views and feeling the thrill of flying. That's what you can experience with our introductory flight lesson, where you get to take the controls and learn the basics of piloting. Whether you're looking for a fun adventure, a unique gift idea, or a potential career path, this flight is for you.

Pilot Permit course

If you love flying and want to get your pilot license, you should consider learning to fly a Hang glider Trike! A Trike is a two-axis ultralight aircraft that is easy to fly, fun to operate, and much cheaper than a regular plane. You can get your ultralight pilot permit in Canada by taking lessons with us at Drayton Valley airport, Alberta.

A typical lesson with us is one hour long and includes a pre-briefing, a hands-on practice on the Trike, and a debriefing to review what you learned and prepare for the next lesson. You only need 10 hours of airtime (2 of them solo) and 30 take-offs and landings (10 of them solo) to get your permit. You also need to attend 20 hours of ground school, pass two exams with Transport Canada (PSTAR and ULTRA), get a medical certificate, and get a recommendation from your instructor. Don't worry, we will guide you through every step of the way!

So what are you waiting for? Join us today and start your flying adventure with a Trike!

If you would like to know more about the pilot permit, visit Transport Canada website for details.
